Dealing With Doubt

Untitled the impossible

Lord, I want to trust you, but right now I don’t know how! When life throws that curve ball and you have the wind knocked out of you, what do you do? Where do you turn?

“The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him.” Lamentations 3:25

When trouble strikes and our hearts grow faint, we often forget the great love our Father in Heaven has for us and can doubt the goodness of God toward us.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Sometimes God answers prayers right away. We’re excited, thankful and ready to tell everyone about His goodness. Then there are times when prayers linger and miracles seem far away. As time creeps on, you may find your doubts creep in. Friends think you should give up and let it go.

“…there was God’s promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in His own name, saying: ‘I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number.’ Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.” Hebrews 6:13-15

Then you ask yourself,  Will I continue to ask, plead and persevere? Or will I/should I give up first because I was tired of waiting and starting to doubt? Does the situation look impossible?

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19

Maybe you’ve resigned yourself to believe there’s no hope. Sure, you started out confident and faith-filled, but as time goes by you’ve started to wonder if any good can come from your circumstances.

When you’ve asked God for answers but still find yourself waiting longer than you had planned, take a moment now to thank Him in advance for His answer. Trust that He is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Don’t give up. Look forward with hope and expectancy for Him to respond and remember that the Lord is good to those who diligently seek Him.

I want to live with expectancy and hope as I wait on the Lord to answer my prayer.  I believe in the promises of God.  As I begin to read God’s scriptures encouragement begins to fill the empty places in my heart. I am again reminded of God’s unfailing love and faithfulness.

As you lean into His great love for you today and lean on His resources, you will not be consumed, you will not be crushed like a hollow eggshell. You will find Him faithful step by step by step — that’s trusting.

We need to Believe God will do the impossible even when it seems so unlikely.

But as children of the Most High God, we need to trust in our Father completely and wholeheartedly!

His promises apply to our everyday lives, so it’s now time more than ever that we walk by faith and not by sight!

That’s why having a devotional life with God is so vital to our walk with Him.

Having unwavering faith in God, trusting in Him completely with all that is within us, is the only true hope we have in this seemingly hopeless world!

Our faith may sometimes be only the size of a mustard seed, but praise God that’s all it takes to move the mountains in our lives!

People will let you down, but God never will! His promises are yes and amen!

He gives sight to the blind, heals the sick, and enables the slave to walk free.

One thing God has taught me through the years is how faithful He truly is.

So if you’re in that waiting period now, please don’t lose hope.

Keep your eyes on God’s truth and stand firmly on the promises He gives you.

You were formed in the palms of His hands. They’re the hands that hold you and promise to provide for your every need.

Take heart today that no matter what you’re going through or waiting for, God is going to come through for you.

Our God is a God of miracles!

He will do exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever ask or think! (Eph. 3:20)

You need to walk by faith, convinced and confidently knowing that absolutely nothing is impossible for God!

Lord, thank You for remaining faithful to me. Help me have hope and expectancy as I wait for Your answers to my prayers. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Isaiah 30:15a, “This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength …’” –

Isaiah 30:18, “Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!”
