Let Us Not Grow Weary

Maybe you need this word of encouragement today:

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Do you feel this way about something in your life? You have seemingly been doing all the right things, with no visible results?

Today, I pray that you, nor me, will give up, but will reap the rewards in the proper time.

If we will serve with faithfulness, discipline, and integrity, God’s grace will empower us to do what he has called us to do. The wonderful blessing of God, however, is that he will renew us and sustain us and rekindle us.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am grateful for these lessons. it’s easy to become tired in giving, but I’m asking You to increase my desire and determination to be generous in all parts of my life. I pray that I may not lose heart or grow weary in doing the good works that You have prepared for me to do, and pray that in due time, I may reap a fruitful reward, Refresh me as I refresh others! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Seasoned With Salt

Have you ever thought about how our words impact others especially on social media. Words will make or break every relationship that we have. Our words will either draw people to us (kindness), or they will push people away (harsh).

Words, written or spoken, carry great deal of weight in our lives. Even if you need to speak words of correction to someone you can season those words with salt. That just means we can frame our words in such a way that even though they are corrective, they can be easily swallowed, or heard.

I don’t know about you, but I want my words to always be filled with generous amounts of God’s grace, and seasoned with heavenly inspired salt.

“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouths, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” Ephesians 4:29

“Father, I can clearly see how important my words are. Help me today to guard my words and only use words that build up the people in my world. May my words, whether spoken or written, be with grace and seasoned with salt. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

We Need The Word Of God

But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 1 Peter 1:25

From Genesis to Revelations, we are presented with God’s gracious, redemptive program for fallen man, as told to us in the Bible – Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture.. that He was buried and rose again according to the Word of Truth.. so that whosoever believes on Him would not perish and pass away, but would receive the forgiveness of sins, and life everlasting. The Word of Life also contains all we need to live a life that glorifies His name – for we have been given all we need for life and godliness.

I have been changed and I’ve seen others changed after studying His Word. The Word of the Lord is pure, perfect and cannot be broken. God’s Word stands fast forever and ever. God’s Word is life giving and life changing. It has the power to impart faith, increase courage and develop character. When we face Goliath with reliance on the Word of God, we are no longer trusting in our own resources but we are trusting in the supernatural resources of God.

Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been called and chosen, and that I have been born again into Your family. Thank You that I have an inheritance in Christ that cannot fade away. Open the eyes of those that are blinded to the truth of Your Word, so that many may come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. Use me, I pray, as a witness to Your Word of truth and bring many more sons to glory, in the days that lie ahead – this I pray in Jesus name, AMEN.

There Is Power In The Name Of Jesus

As believers, we are fully convinced of the power in the name of Jesus. When we pray, we have the power of Jesus at work within us. Our lives as Christians are lived from a place of acknowledging the power in Jesus’ name: “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (Colossians 3:17). The powerful name of Jesus makes it possible for all people to be saved, healed, and delivered. Psalm 115:1 reminds us: “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!”

Only Jesus

I absolutely love this song by Casting Crowns, it has become my go to worship/quiet time song.  I am finding myself falling more and more in Love with Jesus everyday, every hour.

Like the song says Jesus is all we need.

Only Jesus can satisfy your soul.  Only Jesus will never leave or forsake you.  Only Jesus can heal a broken heart. Only Jesus can give you the strength to go on. Only Jesus can save your soul.

For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things. (Psalm 107:9)

In all we do, In all we say may it be a representation of Jesus.  May our lives be a reflection of Him.  We may be the Only Jesus people ever see.

“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:17

The older I get the more I realize that after I am gone, if my friends can look back on my life and see Jesus and His love in the way I lived, then that’s all that matters.

That is our greatest and most important accomplishment, to be able to see the people around you discover Jesus. Our lives are not our own because Jesus bought them when He died on the cross in our place.

“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.  Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.  He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.”  Ephesians 5:1-2

I wonder what our lives would be like if we always carried with us in our hearts and in our minds and in our walk the truth that “Jesus is all I need?” I think we would be more gracious, more giving. I think we would hold on to the things in this life more loosely. Our treasures would be more spiritual than physical. We would work differently, We would relate to people more patiently, more lovingly. And we would approach our enemies in a whole new light, love them more than hate them, care for them more than wanting to harm them, we would be softer and not harsh. What about you?

Lord Jesus, Lamb of God, in adoration I thank You for the love that made You willing to suffer and die on the cross for my sin. Beautiful Lord, I was created in your image, fearfully and wonderfully made to be the light in this dark world.  Please guide me in a  path of righteousness according to Your will and glory. You are the Potter and I am the clay.  Shape me, mold me, use me and fill me each and everyday to become more like Christ.

We Can Depend On You

I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1–3

David is waking from a really bad period in his life and so he thanks God. He wrote it “when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.” So David is thanking God for delivering him from trouble. The Psalms are like his prayer journal. He sang and prayed this Psalm as a reminder of the ways the Lord had delivered him, and so can we. As we look at how David prayed in this Psalm, we see he prays three ways. He prays in desperation, in darkness, and in deliverance.

The great thing about the book of Psalms is we can learn how to guide our prayers. In other words, I can read a Psalm and pray what the Lord is saying to me through it.

These verses point to the fact that we can depend on God. When you are in distress and have nowhere to hide, let us seek refuse in The Lord and depend on His almighty arms. When we are facing hardship, we think really hard and try all possible ways to solve our problems, but we forget the most important thing, which is We can depend on the Lord!

Prayer: Lord, help me build my life on your foundation. Shield me this day from those who would oppress me. Hide me in the shadows of your wings. I love you Lord with all my heart!
